The lobby has this clean, understated vibe that feels refreshing after navigating the bustling streets of Wanhua District. You know what struck me most? How the staff genuinely seemed happy to see guests, not just going through the motions.

The location is actually brilliant, and I mean that — Taipei can be overwhelming, but staying here puts you right in the heart of things without the chaos. Guangzhou Street sits perfectly between the historic charm of old Taipei and the modern conveniences you need. I could walk to Longshan Temple in about ten minutes, and the night markets are practically on your doorstep. What couples seem to love (and honestly, I get it) is how walkable everything is — you’re not constantly hunting for taxis or figuring out metro connections.

The Room Experience

My room was exactly what you’d expect from a solid three-star property — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed without unnecessary frills. The bed was surprisingly good quality, and I actually slept really well despite being in such a central location. The bathroom was compact but well-organized, with decent water pressure and toiletries that didn’t feel cheap. What I appreciated most was the attention to small details — proper blackout curtains, enough outlets near the bed, and air conditioning that actually worked quietly.

Breakfast Worth Waking Up For

I’ll be honest, hotel breakfasts can be hit or miss, but this one surprised me. The buffet setup offers a nice mix of Asian and American options, so whether you’re craving congee and pickled vegetables or scrambled eggs and toast, you’re covered. The coffee was decent (not amazing, but definitely drinkable), and they had fresh fruit that actually tasted fresh. I found myself looking forward to breakfast each morning, which doesn’t always happen when you’re traveling.

For the price point and location, it’s honestly hard to find fault with the place. You’re getting solid value in one of Taipei’s most interesting districts, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

  Hotel serving a good variety of Taiwanese breakfast, taste is ok to me, maybe some dishes could be a bit oily and salty to me as breakfast, I suppose the Hotel would like to let the guest to taste the local delicacies as much as possible. Staff are friendly and helpful.
  I would suggest the Hotel to improve the ventilation of the restaurant where they are serving breakfast because the fumes emitted from the kitchen has actually stained our hair and cloth after eating there.
