From United Hotel, you can walk to some of the city’s best night markets, stumble upon hidden coffee shops that locals frequent, and actually experience the rhythm of daily life here. The MRT connections are fantastic (couples consistently rate the location 9.6, which honestly makes sense), and you know what? Having free private parking at a luxury hotel in central Taipei is almost unheard of. If you’re planning to explore beyond the city, that’s a game-changer.

The Rooms

The accommodations feel thoughtfully designed rather than cookie-cutter luxury. My room had those floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the cityscape beautifully — particularly nice in the evening when Taipei’s lights start twinkling. The beds are genuinely comfortable (not just hotel-marketing comfortable), and the bathrooms have that spa-like quality without being pretentious about it.
