Royal Rose Hotel Taipei Station Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Royal Rose Hotel Taipei Station, you’ll find yourself on a quiet side street that feels worlds away from the chaos of the main station area — even though you’re literally a three-minute walk from one of Asia’s busiest transport hubs. The building itself has that clean, understated look that’s become synonymous with modern Taiwanese hospitality, and honestly, after dragging luggage through Taipei for hours, the sight of those glass doors feels like salvation.
Location That Actually Makes Sense
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re in Zhongshan District, which means you get the best of both worlds. The hotel sits right in that sweet spot where business travelers and tourists overlap, so the neighborhood has energy without being touristy. You know what’s really smart about staying here? Taipei Main Station is right there, so whether you’re catching the high-speed rail to other cities or just navigating the MRT system, you’re already where you need to be. I mean, couples consistently rate this location a 9.3, and after staying here, I get why — there’s something romantic about being able to explore the city easily and then retreat to this quieter corner.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully designed — this is Taiwan, after all, where space is premium and every square meter counts. What impressed me was how they managed to fit everything you actually need without making it feel cramped. The bed was surprisingly comfortable for a three-star property, and the bathroom had one of those rainfall showerheads that you don’t usually see at this price point. The windows face the street, so you get a bit of natural light filtering in, though don’t expect sweeping city views.
Neighborhood Discoveries
Stepping outside, you’re in one of those areas where local life just happens around you. There’s a traditional market about two blocks away where vendors sell everything from fresh produce to street snacks — I actually stumbled upon some of the best xiaolongbao of my trip there. The nearby streets have that mix of old-school tea shops and modern cafes that makes exploring on foot genuinely interesting. Plus, if you need anything practical like a convenience store or pharmacy, you’re covered within a block or two.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t an upscale property, but it delivers exactly what most travelers actually want — a clean, comfortable base in an excellent location without breaking the budget. The staff genuinely seems to care about helping guests navigate the city, and I noticed they keep maps and transit information readily available at the front desk. What really sets this place apart is that location score of 9.1 — and after experiencing how easy it was to get anywhere in the city from here, those numbers make perfect sense. You’re paying for convenience and reliability, and honestly, sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
Taipei hotels keep foodies close to night markets, MRT hubs, and bubble tea ateliers.

Good stay overall. Except for the incredibly small room. – Monique from Canada (8/10)
This hotel is in a fantastic location, close to Taipei Main Station and within walking distance of the night market. While the room was quite small, it was a good value for the price. Water bottles and snacks available for free.
Very Good – Ardenous from United States of America (8/10)
The staff is on post 24 hours, a nice guy to help me check in smoothly. The location is at Taipei Station with easy access to attractions in Taipei City and Taoyuan Airport via metro. Although breakfast is not including, the hotel provide a snack bar with unlimited snacks and drinks for guests.
Everything is awesome. – 從 from Australia (9/10)
The location is near the bus & train station. It's straightforward to go everywhere from this spot. I met heavy rain on the way to the hotel. I was wet at that time. The receptionists are so lovely. They even lend me a hairdryer to dry up my hair!
