Hub Hotel – Zhongshan Branch Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Hub Hotel – Zhongshan Branch, you immediately get that modern, no-nonsense vibe that actually works really well in Taipei. It’s not trying to be fancy — this is a solid three-star property that knows exactly what it’s doing. The lobby has clean lines and efficient check-in, which honestly was refreshing after a long flight. You can tell they’ve put thought into the design without going overboard.
Location Excellence
Here’s the thing about this hotel’s location — it’s genuinely exceptional for the price point. Sitting right in Zhongshan District on Jinxi Street, you’re basically in one of Taipei’s most happening neighborhoods. I mean, couples rate the location 9.2 out of 10, and after staying here, I totally get why. You’ve got the MRT stations within walking distance, plus some of the city’s best night markets and shopping areas are practically on your doorstep. The whole area buzzes with energy, but the hotel itself sits on a quieter street, so you get the best of both worlds.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was compact but smartly designed — typical for Taipei, really. Everything you need is there: comfortable bed, decent workspace, and surprisingly good Wi-Fi. The bathroom was clean and modern, though not huge (again, pretty standard for the city). What I appreciated was how well-maintained everything felt. You know how some hotels cut corners on the small stuff? Not here. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which is crucial during Taipei’s humid summers.
Neighborhood Insights
What makes this location special is how it puts you right in the heart of local life. Step outside and you’re surrounded by authentic Taiwanese eateries, convenience stores, and that constant hum of scooters that somehow becomes oddly comforting. The nearby Zhongshan area has this great mix of traditional shops and trendy cafes — you can grab amazing xiaolongbao for breakfast and craft coffee in the afternoon, all within a few blocks. Plus, getting to major attractions like Taipei 101 or the National Palace Museum is straightforward from here. The neighborhood truly captures the essence of modern Taipei living.
Why Guests Love It
Honestly, this hotel succeeds because it doesn’t try to be something it’s not. It’s clean, well-located, and efficiently run — exactly what you want when you’re spending most of your time exploring the city anyway. The staff speaks decent English and can point you toward good local spots (always ask about their restaurant recommendations). For the price and location combo, especially in Zhongshan District, it’s really hard to beat. You’re paying for prime real estate in one of Taipei’s best neighborhoods, and the hotel delivers on that promise without any unnecessary frills. This is a smart choice for travelers seeking authentic urban exploration.
Taipei hotels keep foodies close to night markets, MRT hubs, and bubble tea ateliers.

Reviews of Hub Hotel – Zhongshan Branch
A relaxing hotel – Helen from United States of America (9/10)
It’s my new favorite hotel in Taipei. Just minutes to MRT stations, and many restaurants and food nearby. Only a short walking distance to a traditional market with lots of ready-to-eat foods and fresh fruits.
Room is clean and comfortable. Staff is nice and helpful. The 24- hour lounge not only offers free coffee, tea, snacks and ice cream but with a relaxing atmosphere.Best – David from Malaysia (9/10)

An excellent hotel for the value! – Shihjin from United States of America (9/10)
The subway system is excellent in Taipei. Therefore there is no location that is close to the subway station is bad. This hotel is located between two subway stations. Convenient to anywhere in the city. The second floor of the hotel is designated for guests to have snacks, coffee, ice cream 24/7. Usually it is very quiet. I have met my friends there to chat for a long time. He even think it is better than meeting at the Starbucks. The coffee machine makes all kinds of coffee to meet your needs. The 3rd floor provides free laundry. Unfortunately I didn't know until the last day. Well, I used the laundry store nearby for wash and dry with $3.00. The breakfast was a simple one. The hotel provides only bread for toast with butter and jelly.
Nice Place to stay – Torrillo from Philippines (9/10)
I like the free ice cream, coffee, and snacks in one area where you can also read books. We like our room it's not that big, but it has everything that we need. We like the TV. The sheets and the bed are so comfy. I like how the toilet seat is heater and has a washer. Our room is clean and we like the interiors and lighting. The staff can speak and understand English. The airport transfer also can speak and understand English. They are very helpful. It's also very convenient that there's Family mart and 7 Eleven across the street. You can also walk to the nearest mrt station if you need to go somewhere.
Friendly and comfortable budget hotel – John from United States of America (9/10)
Excellent location near center, close to red line MRT stations, near both traditional and modern neighborhoods. Staff are friendly and efficient. Plenty of vendors, stores, and places to eat in the immediate neighborhood. Modern bathroom and refrigerator in room. The air conditioning works well. 24 hour breakfast room with free snacks and coffee machine.
Decent hotel, they also have some rooms with sauna! – Matus from Slovakia (8/10)
I liked that at the 2nd floor they have free coffee, tea, crackers and until the afternoon even toasts with jam.
The room was relatively spacious (except the bathroom) and clean.Exceptional – Adrian from Spain (9/10)
It was one of my best stays ever. The facilities were in a very good shape and clean, and the personell was amazingly kind and helpful at all times. It was not detailed in the reservation, but at the second floor a small breakfast buffet with coffee, toasts and cookies was available for free, which was outstanding!
Will come back again – Christina from Hong Kong (8/10)
The room was quiet. Staffs are polite.
