Green World Linsen Overview

First Impressions

Walking into Green World Linsen, you immediately get that comfortable, no-nonsense vibe that makes you feel like you’ve made a smart choice. This three-star property in Taipei doesn’t try to be something it’s not — it’s just really good at what it does. The lobby has this clean, modern feel without being sterile, and honestly, the staff seems genuinely happy to help rather than just going through the motions. The overall atmosphere strikes a balance between efficiency and warmth that guests consistently appreciate.

Location That Actually Matters

Here’s the thing about Linsen North Road — you’re right in the heart of Zhongshan District, which means you can walk to some of Taipei’s best night markets and still catch the MRT without breaking a sweat. Couples consistently rate this spot 8.5 out of 10, and after spending time here, the appeal becomes clear. You’ve got Ningxia Night Market just a short stroll away, and the red line metro stops are close enough that you’ll never feel stuck. There’s something about this particular stretch of Linsen that feels authentically local — not touristy, just real Taipei life happening around you. The neighborhood offers genuine cultural immersion without sacrificing accessibility.

The Room Experience

The room itself is what I’d call thoughtfully compact — everything you need without feeling cramped. The beds are actually comfortable (not always a given at this price point), and the air conditioning works properly, which anyone who’s spent a summer in Taiwan will appreciate. What surprised me was how quiet it stays despite being on a busy road — they’ve clearly put some thought into soundproofing. The bathroom is clean and functional, offering all essential amenities for a comfortable stay.

Breakfast Worth Getting Up For

Now, the breakfast buffet — this is where Green World Linsen really shines. They serve proper Asian breakfast options alongside some Western choices, and it’s not just the usual sad hotel fare. You’ll find congee that actually tastes like someone’s grandmother made it, plus fresh fruit and decent coffee. The quality and variety make breakfast feel like a genuine highlight rather than an afterthought, which is rare at this price point.

Why Guests Love It

This isn’t going to be the fanciest place you’ve ever stayed, but it gets the fundamentals right in a way that makes your whole Taipei experience smoother. Recent guests consistently rate the location highly (8.3 out of 10), and the reasons become obvious during your stay. You’re paying for reliability, cleanliness, and a spot that puts you right where you want to be without the premium price tag. It’s the kind of place where you sleep well, eat a good breakfast, and head out to explore the city feeling like you made a practical choice that didn’t sacrifice comfort. The spa facilities may be limited, but the value proposition remains compelling for budget-conscious travelers seeking quality accommodations.

Savvy travelers reserve a hotel in Taipei before Computex fills penthouse lounges with global founders.

Reviews of Green World Linsen

  • Excellent breakfast, and excellent location. bathroom ceiling too low. – Toronto from Canada (9/10)

The breakfast exceeded my expectations, and the breakfast room is incredibly spacious. The location is excellent, close to most attractions, within walking distance of the subway station, and near multiple bus stops. There's a 24-hour 7-11 just 10 meters from the hotel, essentially adjacent to it, making it incredibly convenient for tourists. Within a 5-minute walk, there are more than 30 restaurants to choose from.

In summary, the location, staff, and breakfast are excellent!

  • Good – Shu from Canada (7/10)

    somewhat acceptable

  • Great hotel in a good location. – Pam556 from United Kingdom (8/10)

Friendly staff, great breakfast and comfortable rooms. The hotel is in a good location.

  • Comfortable – Yl from Thailand (8/10)

Triple room (3 single beds) with window is not big, but comfortable and enough for short stay. Staff can speak Japanese and most of customers are Japanese (good that I can use English and Japanese to communicate with them) Surrounding areas are pleasant, lots of local stores, parks, less traffic, not crowded. Near Shuangcheng Night market.

  • Not bad. – Gino from Taiwan (8/10)

    Location wise, clean

  • Good – Erika from United Kingdom (7/10)

Good breakfast served daily, options changed each day although might not be to everyone's taste! Personally I enjoyed the steamed buns each morning! The room had everything you could need although the bathroom did look a bit tired. Room was cleaned everyday and water was replenished. In terms of location, the hotel is about a 7min walk to the nearest station and quite far from the main part of the city so needed to travel into the centre each day which wouldn't be ideal for all. However there is a small night market close by and lots of tasty hotpot restaurants! So the immediate area has everything you need.

  • Great for the price! – Alessandro from Thailand (9/10)

Staff very kind, the breakfast and the view to the temple from our room

  • Worth it! – Franz from Philippines (8/10)

The breakfast was good (Western and Asian) and they gave us free bottled water. Breakfast is from 6:30am-9:00am. Hope they can serve until 10am. I worked until 2am but I had to wake up early so I can eat before 9am.

  • Very Good – Goh from Singapore (8/10)

earth quake happened. nothing damaged 🙂

  • Pleasant – Sven from Germany (6/10)

Nice and cosy location in the heart of Taipeh. Next to a lovely temple and bus Station.
