Evergreen Laurel Hotel Taipei Overview
First Impressions
Walking into the Evergreen Laurel Hotel Taipei, you immediately sense this is something special — the kind of five-star property that doesn’t need to shout about its luxury credentials. The lobby has this understated elegance that feels authentically Taiwanese rather than trying to copy some international template. I mean, you’re right in the heart of Zhongshan District on Songjiang Road, which honestly couldn’t be better positioned if you tried.
Prime Location
The location is genuinely outstanding — I’m talking about being steps away from Nanjing Fuxing MRT station, which connects you to basically everywhere you want to go in Taipei. You know what’s really convenient? The famous Liaoning Night Market is just a short walk away, and you’re surrounded by some of the city’s best shopping districts. Couples seem to particularly love this spot (they’ve rated it 9.1), and I can see why — there’s something romantic about being in the middle of everything yet feeling tucked away in this elegant retreat.
The Room Experience
Let me tell you about the beds — they’re actually as comfortable as everyone says they are. I’ve stayed in plenty of luxury hotels where the room looks gorgeous but you can’t get a decent night’s sleep, but that’s definitely not the case here. The rooms have this sophisticated design that blends modern comfort with subtle Asian touches, and the attention to detail is impressive. The bathrooms are spacious (which isn’t always a given in Taipei), and the city views from the higher floors are pretty spectacular, especially at night when the city lights up.
Dining Excellence
The breakfast spread here is honestly one of the better hotel buffets I’ve encountered in Taiwan. They’ve got this great mix of continental options alongside proper Asian dishes — you can have your eggs benedict and then move on to congee and dim sum without missing a beat. The restaurant staff really knows their stuff too, and they’re happy to explain dishes or make recommendations. The vegetarian options are thoughtfully prepared, not just an afterthought like at some places.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets this place apart is how it manages to feel both luxurious and genuinely welcoming. The service strikes that perfect balance — attentive without being intrusive, professional but warm. You’re getting that premium hotel experience in what’s arguably the best neighborhood in Taipei for both business and leisure travelers. The fact that it consistently scores above 9 for location tells you everything — this isn’t just about having a nice hotel, it’s about being perfectly positioned to experience the real Taipei. Whether you’re here for the night markets, the shopping, or just soaking up the city’s energy, you’ll find yourself coming back to a place that feels like a genuine sanctuary.

Reviews of Evergreen Laurel Hotel Taipei
Exceptional – Ellen from Netherlands (10/10)
Big and comfortable family room, for 4 of us, with a living room and a separate bedroom. excellent and warm service, fantastic jacuzzi, very quiet- we were on the 10th floor facing the street but heard no sounds. The airco was adequate, silent but sometimes needed to be turned down quite low to be cold enough. The beds were comfortable though the king sized bed was a little harder than what we are used to. A 5 to 7 minute walk to the closest subway station. Several restaurants within 1 to 2 blocks at different price points, though most of them close at around 8 or 8.30 pm. Would definitely stay here again next time!
Exceptional – Seung from South Korea (10/10)
Location was perfect since 2 different metro line was close to hotel. All staff was so kind, and room was clean and big enough. Definitely gonna visit again for next Taipei trip.

Exceptional – Qiuiq from Australia (10/10)
We booked a delux family room which is super spacious. The separate living room is very big and well furnished. Two beds are huge and comfortable. The staff are also very friendly. Location is also very convenient, only 350m to a MRT station.
