What struck me right away was how the staff seemed to genuinely recognize returning guests, which makes sense given that this place apparently has way more repeat visitors than most hotels in the area.

You know what’s great about being in Datong District? You’re actually in one of Taipei’s most interesting neighborhoods without the tourist chaos. The hotel sits on Section 2 of Yenping North Road, which means you’re walking distance to Dihua Street’s traditional shops and about ten minutes from the main train station. I mean, couples consistently rate this location over 8 out of 10, and after spending time here, I totally get why. There’s something about being close enough to everything but still feeling like you’re in a real part of the city.

Room Experience

The room itself is compact but smartly designed — typical for Taipei, really. What I appreciated was the attention to details that matter when you’re actually living in the space for a few days. The bed was comfortable enough, and the bathroom had decent water pressure (always a concern in older buildings). It’s not going to wow you with size, but everything works well and feels clean. The windows give you glimpses of local street life, which I actually preferred over some generic city skyline view.

Breakfast and Practical Perks

The breakfast buffet leans heavily Asian, which honestly makes way more sense than the weird international spreads some hotels attempt. You’ll find congee, local pastries, and the kind of simple dishes that actually fuel your day of exploring. What really sets this place apart though is the private parking — if you’re planning to rent a car or somehow end up driving in Taipei (brave soul), this is a genuine lifesaver. Most places in this area either don’t have parking or charge ridiculous amounts for it.

  Awesome place to stay in a very quiet and local neighbourhood. Facilities were awesome. What impressed us the most were the very friendly and accommodating staff at the concierge. We arrived early and left our luggage. On our last day we also had to leave our luggage for a very long time because of the late flight.
  Very prompt check-in, breezy. We were upgraded to a deluxe room (higher floor) and we are very grateful. The bathroom had a view of the pier as well. The mbox installed had very good channels. Nice coffee and tea machine in the room. Very good water pressure and temperature in the bathroom. (We stayed during the cold months). It was more than comfortable.:) Thank you for the very kind service. We hope it stays that way in the many years to come!

  Great location and easy to get around. There are bus stops nearby and ten minutes walk to the MRT station. Food is everywhere. The hotel is surrounded by shops, foods, convenience stores, etc. Just 10 minutes walk to the bustling night market. It was very busy during the weekend but it was worth for us to try the food there, especially super delicious BBQ chicken and crispy pork.

  The location l, there are many bus stop around the block which you can take to tour around taipei. Its more convenient than taking train.
