Here’s the thing about staying in Luzhou — you’re actually in a pretty sweet spot that most tourists completely overlook. I mean, you’re still in Taipei, but you get this more residential vibe that feels authentic. The MRT connections are solid, so getting into the main tourist areas doesn’t take forever, and honestly, the rates here are way more reasonable than what you’d pay in Xinyi or Ximending. Couples seem to really get this — they’ve rated the location 8.6, and I can see why. It’s got that neighborhood feel where you can actually imagine living like a local for a few days.

The Room Experience

Let me tell you about the beds — they’re seriously comfortable. I’m usually pretty picky about mattresses (too soft and my back kills me, too firm and I toss all night), but these hit that perfect middle ground. The room itself was clean and well-maintained, nothing fancy but everything worked properly. The air conditioning was quiet, which is huge for me, and the blackout curtains actually blocked out light. Sometimes it’s the simple things that make or break a stay, you know?

Breakfast & Dining

The breakfast spread was actually better than I expected for a mid-range hotel. They’ve got continental options if you want something familiar, but I’d recommend trying the Asian dishes — that’s where they really shine. The vegetarian selections were decent too, which isn’t always a given in Taiwan hotels. I found myself looking forward to breakfast each morning, which honestly doesn’t happen that often when I travel. The restaurant area gets busy around 8 AM, so if you’re not a morning person, maybe aim for 9:30 or later.

What really struck me about this place is how many repeat guests they have — way more than most hotels I’ve stayed at. After a few days, I started to understand why. The staff remembers your preferences, the location grows on you once you figure out the neighborhood rhythm, and there’s something comforting about a place that doesn’t try too hard to impress. It’s reliable in all the ways that matter when you’re traveling. Plus, with an 8.7 rating from actual guests, it’s clear I’m not the only one who appreciates what they’re doing here.

  The staff were incredible. Polite, helpful, alway happy, great level of English. Did everything to make it a great stay. Room not so big but comfortable beds and very quiet. Good windows, no traffic noise. Less than 5 mins walk from MRT station an a shopping centre that has 3 or 4 restaurants ( one Italian). Hotels in Taiwan not great at western style breakfast. Here, no problem. Asked if I could have simply egg, toast, bacon and some fruit and that's what I got. The lady in the kitchen even made rabbits from the orange segments. Stayed at this hotel at the beginning of holidays, returned for final week. Would definitely use again. Don't know if they read this, but a big thank you to all the staff again.

  All saff were very helpful. The leisure club you have access to is excellent, just remember to bring a swim cap for the pool. The bed was large and comfortable. Coffee and tea available all day and night but there are no restaurants in the hotel.
