The lobby has this clean, modern vibe without being sterile — honestly, it feels more like a well-designed office building than your typical tourist hotel, which I actually found refreshing. The staff at check-in were genuinely helpful, not just going through the motions, and they seemed to anticipate questions before I even asked them.

Location That Actually Matters

Here’s the thing about staying in Zhongshan District — you’re right in the thick of things without the chaos of some other areas in Taipei. The hotel sits on Songjiang Road, and I mean this when I say the location is pretty much perfect for exploring the city. You’ve got the Songjiang Nanjing MRT station just a few minutes’ walk away, which connects you to basically everywhere you’d want to go. What I really appreciated was being able to walk to decent restaurants and convenience stores (because let’s be honest, 7-Eleven runs are essential in Taiwan) without having to navigate tourist traps.

The Room Experience

The room itself surprised me — not huge by any means, but thoughtfully designed in a way that makes the space feel bigger than it actually is. The bed really is as comfortable as everyone says it is, and I’m someone who usually has trouble sleeping in hotels. There’s enough desk space if you need to get work done, and the bathroom, while compact, has everything you need including a proper shower with good water pressure. The windows are well-insulated too, so street noise wasn’t an issue even though you’re in a busy part of the city.

Morning Fuel

Breakfast here covers all the bases without trying to be fancy about it. They’ve got the usual continental options, but what I really liked was the Asian selection — proper congee, some Taiwanese breakfast items, and decent coffee. The American options are there if you need something familiar, and the buffet setup flows well so you’re not waiting around. It’s the kind of breakfast that actually sets you up for a day of walking around the city rather than just filling space on your plate.

Look, this isn’t the flashiest hotel you’ll find in Taipei, but that’s sort of the point. It does the fundamentals really well — comfortable beds, solid location, helpful staff, and reasonable rates for what you get. Couples seem to particularly appreciate the area (and I can see why), but honestly, it works just as well if you’re traveling solo or on business. You’re paying for reliability and location here, not Instagram moments, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need when you want to focus on exploring the city rather than your hotel amenities.

  The staff team from front desk, housekeeping, and breakfast crew is wonderful and professional. We felt the great hospitality during our stay. The bedding, firm bed, the in room coffee, lounge access, w/d 24 hours are perfect. Breakfast spread changed daily was a pleasantly surprise. Overall design, material choices, hardware choice are great match for the tier.

  Convenient location, walking distance to bus and train station. There’re a few convenient stores as well all located within 3 min walk.
  
  The hotel staff were very friendly and accomodating, they allowed us to access the lounge even though we’ve already checked out, but wanted to relax for a few hours before heading to airport.
  
  Love it that there’re free coffee and snacks for all hotel guests while waiting for laundry or wanting to just chill and talk.

  The staff were very helpful and friendly and organised a day trip for me and taxis.The room was very well furnished with a very comfortable bed with the best duvet ever.Lots of toiletries and 2 bottles of water every day.There were free snacks and hot drinks all day plus 2 washing machines and 2 dryers plus soap for guests to use free of charge.

  Loved everything. Staff were lovely and very accommodating. Hotel was amazing and the breakfast every morning was delicious. Also 5mins from MRT which made travel much easier. Staff were very prompt with any requests. My friend injured herself and they were willing to help out and would attend the hotel quickly to provide First Aid kit every time. Free laundry services along with the hotel being very clean and nice. The beds and duvet were really comfy. The hotel is central and quite close to food places and supermarkets. Multiple 7 Eleven’s and Family Mart nearby. Highly recommend this hotel.
