Jasper Young Hotel Banqiao Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Jasper Young Hotel Banqiao, you immediately get that feeling of stepping into something well-thought-out. The lobby has this modern, clean aesthetic that doesn’t try too hard — honestly, it’s refreshing after dealing with some of the overly flashy places around Taipei. The staff actually remembers your name after the first day, which is one of those small touches that makes a difference when you’re traveling.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re in Banqiao, which means you get that authentic Taiwanese neighborhood vibe without being stuck in the middle of nowhere. The MRT connection is solid (Banqiao Station is your friend here), and you can be in central Taipei in about 20 minutes. What’s really nice is having parking available right at the hotel — I mean, if you’re planning to explore Taiwan by car, this is actually a game-changer since parking in the city center can be a nightmare. The location truly offers the best of both worlds for travelers seeking convenience and authenticity.
The Room Experience
The room itself strikes that perfect balance between functional and comfortable. You know what impressed me most? The attention to detail in the layout — everything feels intentional, from the lighting to the way the bathroom flows. It’s a four-star property, and it shows in the quality of the linens and the fact that the air conditioning actually works properly (trust me, this matters in Taiwan’s humidity). The windows are well-insulated too, so you don’t get the street noise that can plague some urban hotels. Each room is designed with the modern traveler in mind.
Breakfast & Dining
The breakfast spread here is where they really shine — you get this nice mix of Asian and American options that actually tastes good, not just hotel-buffet acceptable. I’m talking proper congee alongside decent scrambled eggs, and the local Taiwanese breakfast items are authentic enough that you’ll see locals eating there too. The restaurant area gets busy around 8 AM, but the turnover is quick, and honestly, watching the morning rush of business travelers and families gives you a nice slice of local life. The culinary offerings reflect genuine care in sourcing quality ingredients.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps people coming back here — and why couples seem to particularly enjoy it — is that it feels like a real neighborhood experience without sacrificing comfort. You’re not paying tourist prices for everything around you, the night markets are walkable, and there’s something satisfying about staying somewhere that locals actually know and respect. The combination of reliable amenities, genuine hospitality, and that sweet spot location makes it one of those places you’d actually recommend to friends visiting Taiwan. This four-star hotel delivers exceptional value and authentic experiences.
Hotels near me in Taipei deliver quick rides to Chiang Kai-shek plazas, Huashan creative parks, and Maokong gondolas.

Gorgeous Family Room – Mabeline from Singapore (9/10)
We managed to book their Family room. The space was well designed, had good wifi (and Chromecast) and slept 4 persons comfortably. The hotel onsen was a treat after a busy day out too. Most of the staff could speak English and the cleaner was friendly. We even extended a night seeing how comfortable it was and we had a red eye flight and although we had to move to a smaller room because our room was booked, the hotel was very accommodating and we could move to the new room way before check-in time.
It is definitely worth the money. We wish we had a longer stay there. – Eleanor from Hong Kong (9/10)
The room is spacious and the there is a hot spring on the top floor. I requested for a room with a good view. The staff did give me a room with a good view.
