The Room Experience

My room was on the higher floors, and the views — well, they’re exactly what you’d hope for when you’re staying above the bustling streets below. The space itself is thoughtfully designed, not huge but definitely well-planned. Everything feels fresh and modern, from the bedding to the bathroom fixtures. You know what I appreciated most? The soundproofing actually works. Despite being on one of the busiest roads in the city, I slept like a baby. The air conditioning is solid too, which matters more than you might think during Taipei’s humid summers.

The hotel’s restaurant serves up a decent mix of international and local dishes — nothing that’ll blow your mind, but definitely reliable when you don’t feel like venturing out. What I found really useful was how the staff seemed to genuinely know the neighborhood. They pointed me toward this incredible xiaolongbao place that I never would have found on my own. The hotel also handles the basics well — reliable WiFi, helpful front desk service, and they’re pretty good about arranging transportation if you need it.

  The staff was extremely helpful (Especially Lin!). Hotel location was in the center of everything, and close to restaurants, convenience stores, and shopping. The room was extremely clean, and I appreciated access to laundry facilities on site. The only disappointment was that the finish on the wooden furniture was worn and needed to be refinished. (The last few days of our stay, there was a notice of refurbishing coming up the next week, so I have a feeling that was going to be addressed).
