Cityinn Hotel Taipei Station Branch I Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Cityinn Hotel Taipei Station Branch I, you’ll notice it’s tucked away on a quiet side street — which honestly turned out to be one of its best features. The lobby is compact but welcoming, with that clean, modern aesthetic that Taiwanese hotels do so well. It’s not trying to be flashy, just comfortable and efficient, which I actually appreciated after a long flight. The design philosophy emphasizes functionality without unnecessary embellishment, creating an inviting atmosphere for weary travelers.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s the thing about this three-star hotel — the location is absolutely unbeatable. You’re literally a three-minute walk from Taipei Main Station, which means you can catch the airport MRT, high-speed rail to other cities, or regular metro lines all from one spot. Couples rate the location 9.2 out of 10 for good reason. The Ximending shopping district is just one metro stop away, and you can walk to the Presidential Office Building and some great night markets without breaking a sweat. This central positioning makes it an ideal base for both business and leisure travelers.
The Room Experience
The room was smaller than what you might expect if you’re coming from Western hotels, but that’s pretty standard for Taipei — and honestly, it’s designed really smartly. Everything has its place, the bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless. What I loved was how quiet it stayed despite being so close to the station. The air conditioning worked perfectly (crucial in Taipei’s humidity), and the Wi-Fi was fast enough for video calls back home. The thoughtful layout maximizes comfort in a compact space.
Practical Perks
The staff here really know their stuff when it comes to helping travelers navigate the city. They’ll give you detailed directions, help with train schedules, and even recommend local spots that aren’t in the guidebooks. There’s a convenience store right downstairs — you know how Taiwan does convenience stores — so you can grab snacks, drinks, or travel essentials anytime. The check-in process was smooth, and they were flexible about luggage storage before and after my stay. Their local expertise and attentive service truly enhance the guest experience.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t a resort where you’ll spend all day lounging around the hotel, but that’s not really the point. What you get is a clean, comfortable base in probably the most connected spot in all of Taipei. Whether you’re catching an early train to Taichung, heading to the airport, or just exploring the city, you’ll save so much time and energy staying here. The value is excellent for what you pay, especially considering that location score of 9.3 isn’t just marketing speak — it’s genuinely that well-positioned. For travelers who want to maximize their time exploring rather than commuting, this place just makes sense. The strategic positioning and reliable service make it an outstanding choice for visitors prioritizing convenience and accessibility.
Exploring Taipei blends incense-filled temples, neon night bazaars, and hikes up Elephant Mountain.

The room is very new and clean. The water pressure in the shower is amazing and the drainage system is great! The self service snack area provides packet instant oats for breakfast and instant noodle after 10pm. The washing machine and dryer is a bonus! Will definitely come back if I am in Taipei in the future!!

Because of A jetleg I got down to the Hall And A man from the reception gave me lots of tips to do. They are all really helpful And kind. The room was good aswell And the location great. Note that this of course is not the most luxerious option there is. But for A budget option I give this A 10.

1. The staff is friendly. I like that the cleaning staff will help to clean up the room every day for me unless I put up the "Do not disturb" magnet on the front door.
2. The room and bathroom are clean and adequately spacious.
