The Room Experience

My room was compact but thoughtfully designed, with clean lines and just enough space to spread out without feeling cramped. The bed was surprisingly comfortable for a three-star place, and the bathroom — while small — had good water pressure and stayed warm throughout my shower. What I appreciated most was the attention to detail: proper reading lights, enough outlets for all my devices, and blackout curtains that actually worked. The air conditioning was quiet and effective, which matters more than you’d think during Taipei’s humid summers. It’s not fancy by any means, but everything functions exactly as it should.

Breakfast Worth Waking Up For

The breakfast spread actually impressed me — they’ve managed to cover all the bases with continental options, Asian dishes, and even some American classics. The congee was particularly good (clearly made fresh, not from a packet), and they had proper Taiwanese pickled vegetables alongside the usual toast and cereal options. I mean, it’s buffet-style, so don’t expect made-to-order omelets, but there’s enough variety that you won’t get bored if you’re staying several days. The vegetarian options were thoughtful too, not just an afterthought like at some places.

  Small hotel but really impressive with the technology implied in the hotel room. Breakfast simple but good. Come with free flow of ice cream, coffee and tea facilities from 6am to 11pm. Worth explore their roof top bar !

  Close to the Da'an metro stop on a quiet side street, Chez Nous is a good option if you're looking for an easy to get around hotel for central Taipei. The breakfast buffet wasn't the biggest, but not bad. The staff was friendly. The rooms very moderately spacious. The A/C was good and strong. There was free coffee and icecream. You can get your laundry done for TWD 200.
