I actually appreciated having congee and local sides available alongside the usual hotel fare. The restaurant space is bright and modern, though honestly, with Ximending’s incredible food scene right outside, you’ll probably want to explore. The hotel staff seems to understand this too — they’re great about pointing you toward the best night market stalls and local favorites.

  As a family of 4, with young children, the room we had was of a fantastic size with two beds joined together, providing us more than enough space to sleep together, a living room area with a sofa bed and big open toilet and enclosed shower and wc.
  
  Cleanliness and housekeeping was superb and during checkout, the reception staff even helped us down and managed to flag a taxi for us to the main train station.
  
  Location was good as well right in the heart of ximending.

  Had a great stay at the Amba Ximending during my trip to Taipei. Good location in a nice quiet pocket within the Ximen walking district which is just across the road. The loft twin room was spacious and had natural light from the window to the central area. Thank you to Andrew and Claire at the front desk for their exceptional service in helping me with an urgent delivery.
