喜客商旅 Seeker Hotel – Sanchong Overview
First Impressions
Walking into 喜客商旅 Seeker Hotel – Sanchong, you immediately get the sense this is a place that knows its audience. It’s a three-star property that doesn’t try to be something it’s not — instead, it focuses on doing the basics really well. The lobby feels clean and modern without being flashy, and honestly, that’s exactly what you want when you’re looking for solid value in Taipei. The staff greeted me in both Mandarin and English, which I appreciated since my Chinese is pretty rusty.
The Sanchong Advantage
Here’s what I love about this location — you’re technically outside central Taipei, but you’re actually better positioned than a lot of downtown hotels. Sanchong District puts you right across the river from the main city, and the MRT connections are fantastic. I mean, you can get to Taipei Main Station in about 15 minutes, but your hotel costs are way lower than staying in Zhongshan or Da’an. Plus, there’s this authentic neighborhood feel around Longmen Road that you just don’t get in the tourist zones. The area comes alive in the evenings with local eateries and night market stalls.
Room Experience
My room was compact but thoughtfully designed — they’ve really maximized the space without making it feel cramped. The bed was surprisingly comfortable for a mid-range hotel, and the air conditioning worked perfectly (crucial during Taipei’s humid summers). What struck me most was how quiet everything was, especially considering you’re in a pretty busy district. The bathroom was modern and clean, though the shower pressure could’ve been stronger. There’s decent storage space, which matters when you’re staying more than a night or two.
Practical Perks
The parking situation here is actually a huge plus if you’re renting a car — finding hotel parking in Taipei can be a nightmare and expensive. They’ve got their own spots, which saves you both money and stress. The Wi-Fi throughout the building is solid and fast, perfect for staying connected or getting work done. Breakfast isn’t included, but there are so many local options within walking distance that I honestly preferred exploring the neighborhood food scene anyway.
Why Guests Love It
You know what really sets this place apart? It’s that sweet spot between location and value that’s hard to find in Taipei. Couples especially seem to appreciate the quieter neighborhood vibe while still having easy access to everything the city offers. The 8.0 location rating from guests makes total sense when you experience how well-connected Sanchong actually is. It’s not the fanciest hotel you’ll ever stay in, but it delivers exactly what it promises — a clean, comfortable base for exploring Taipei without the downtown price tag. For travelers who want to experience the city like locals rather than tourists, this spot really works.

Reviews of 喜客商旅 Seeker Hotel – Sanchong
It’s was perfect – Yangchen from Japan (8/10)
Room is spacious, near to the Sanchong Elementary Station (orange Line).
Room was clean, smooth check in and check out!Convenient location and affordable fares made our stay pleasant, despite minor AC and bed issues. – David from Philippines (8/10)
Although the hotel's location was far from the main attractions, it was conveniently near the MRT (a 5-10 minute walk) and had a 7-11, grocery store, Yoshinoya, and Family Mart across the street. Additionally, McDonald's, Moss Burger, and KFC were within walking distance if you are willing to walk a bit further.
Depending on the room you get, it can be quite spacious for two people, with the toilet and shower being separate, which is convenient, especially when you need to catch a tour. The hotel is accessible via the MRT, but you need to decide whether to spend less on the hotel and travel longer to tourist spots or pay more for a pricier hotel with shorter travel times.
Travel fares were generally inexpensive. Most trips to tourist attractions in the Ximending area cost around 20-25 NTD. The only exceptions were trips to Beitou or Taipei Zoo, which cost about 60 NTD per person.Good place to stay, friendly staff. If they'd improve the cleaning, it'd be a great place. – Cinzy from Netherlands (8/10)
– The room was huge and the amount of space in the bathroom is more than enough.
– There are several closets, tables and chairs so you can also sit somewhere during the day and store away clothes.
– The beds were lovely and comfy.
– We had a beautiful view of Taipei from our room.
– The shower was excellent.
– There are several convenience stores (Family Mart, 7/11) really close by and a great breakfast cafe just across the street with really friendly staff (it's the street with the 7/11 on the corner). The staff will clean if you ask them, and the location is good, close to the station. The staff were also kind. – Yuka from Japan (8/10)
